Hello our names are Edlin and Gabrielle Fils, the founders of the Foundation for the Promising Children of Haiti, Inc. (FPCH). We were both born in Haiti. Edlin was born in a city called Cabaret. Gabrielle was born in a town called Croix-des-Mission. In 1990 we met in Florida. We later married in April 17th, 1992. We have one daughter named Roodeline Fils. Edlin is a bus driver for the Marta transit system of Atlanta. Gabrielle is a cake decorator for Publix supermarket.
When Gabrielle went to Haiti in January 7th, 2010, she went through the earthquake that happened in January 12th, 2010. God had saved her life that day, because many people had died, and children were left with no homes and families to help them.
In February 2010 Gabrielle came back to Georgia and spoke to Edlin about the situation in Haiti. After many years we have been working tirelessly to help the poor kids, families and individuals. We both decided to start a nonprofit organization under the name Foundation for the Promising Children of Haiti, Inc. We are servants of God, we count on his promise and with him everything will be possible. In June 2010, by the grace of God, we built an orphanage in Haiti with the little resources we had to help the orphans.
